Hardware

MSL maintains dedicated in-house computing resources (both Windows & UNIX Operating Systems).  We use a fully networked system of engineering workstations.  In addition, our Fleet Management System (FMS) requires the ability to hold gigabytes of data, MSL has dedicated in-house servers for this purpose.  All servers are monitored around the clock.  Full backup procedures are implemented to maintain the integrity of our data storage.  MSL has dedicated servers for:

  • Hosting websites

  • Data storage

  • Project Management

  • Software Storage

Our computer facilities are State of the Art systems, which are adequate to carry out the following operations:

  • Structural analysis of offshore structures

  • Fracture mechanics

  • Inspection planning

  • Information databases for planning, control and data processing

  • Drafting

MSL's computing service worldwide is complimented by Microsoft's Advanced Server Software and is guarded by strict firewall protocols and anti-virus software.  The security of our clients data is one of our primary goals.

Leading Industry Software

MSL’s policy on software is to have available, in-house, the most appropriate, technically assured and industry recognized software available. We have selected the following packages to support and supplement our services:

SACS - WAMIT

Analysis of offshore structures, with the full range of pre and post-processors, graphics and finite element library.
